About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team at GreenPower. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for the successful management of hydrogen fuel cell projects from conceptual design to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design process for hydrogen fuel cell projects, including preliminary in-house design and the management of tendering processes.
  • Oversee the delivery process for hydrogen fuel cell projects, including the management of contractors and subcontractors.
  • Ensure the smooth realisation of hydrogen fuel cell plants, including the establishment of detailed schedules and responsibility matrices.
  • Monitor and control project progress, including reporting on project status and providing technical information to support development project managers.
  • Coordinate with in-house technical colleagues and support the Director of Engineering to ensure resources are available to support project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant discipline, such as renewables engineering or a related specialism.
  • Understanding of the hydrogen and industrial gases industry.
  • Track record of conceptual design and management of hydrogen fuel cell schemes.
  • Understanding of project management processes, including planning, budget control, and reporting.
  • Understanding of contractual processes, including tendering and project delivery.
  • UK driving license.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Wider knowledge of the renewable energy sector and other generating technologies, such as wind.
  • Experience of hydrogen storage and dispensing systems.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Negotiable salary, depending on experience.
  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.
  • From time to time, you may be required to work outwith and/or in excess of your normal working hours.
  • Remuneration for such additional hours is already contained within the salary.
  • Location of work: The e-Centre, Cooperage Way, Alloa, FK10 3LP.
  • Travel, principally between the Alloa office base and various sites in the UK is required.
  • Annual leave: 25 days personal leave, plus 12 statutory holidays / office closure days per annum.
  • Sick pay: Occupational sick pay available.
  • Pension: GreenPower operates an auto-enrolment pension scheme with the Employer contribution of 3% of gross salary.
