About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team at GreenPower, a leading renewable energy company. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the management of solar projects from design to delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the design process for solar projects, including the development of preliminary designs and the management of tendering processes.
  • Oversee the delivery of solar projects, including the management of contractors and subcontractors, and the coordination of resources.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, technical, and analytical teams, to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development project managers and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the identification of staff training needs and provide in-house guidance and mentorship to junior staff.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in a field such as engineering or a related specialism.
  • Proven track record of managing the design and delivery of solar projects.
  • Strong understanding of the solar energy generating industry and the associated development and planning processes.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, budget control, and reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient use of PVsyst software and other relevant tools.
