Job Description

Job Title: Enterprise Data Architect

Job Summary:

PXC is seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Data Authority team, you will be responsible for driving the alignment of solution designs to good data management practices, ensuring positive insight and reporting outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the alignment of solution designs to good data management practices
  • Work with Enterprise Architecture and project architects to govern the formulation of solution designs
  • Act as a subject matter expert in data modelling, data design, and structure
  • Guide solution design to ensure solution development is in line with data architecture blueprints
  • Develop and enhance the PXC Enterprise Logical Data Model (ELDM)
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure solution designs take appropriate consideration of PXC's data strategy objectives
  • Participate in Project Architecture governance processes
  • Contribute to the development of guidelines for data architecture and data solution design
  • Review solution data model designs and provide recommendations and guidance
  • Identify innovative data approaches to solve complex business/operational problems
  • Contribute to the maintenance of data standards
  • Develop and continuously improve the Enterprise Logical Data Model structure, scope, detail, and supporting documentation
  • Provide training, walkthroughs, and hands-on support to projects
  • Exercise decision rights on solution design through the SRB (Solution Review Board) processes

Requirements:

  • Awareness and understanding of Master Data Management
  • In-depth understanding of data management and storage systems
  • Ability to design and enforce data infrastructure policies, procedures, and processes
  • Design and support the management of data dictionaries
  • Ability to design and produce data models
  • Awareness of data security and compliance procedures
  • Experience in data analysis tools and techniques
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Continual Learning mentality
  • Knowledge of non-Azure Data Warehousing, specifically Netezza
