Job Title: Technical Sales Manager Photonics & Imaging

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Manager to join our team at MacStaff. As a Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue through the development and execution of sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, and develop and execute sales strategies to capture new revenue streams.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers, and ensure that their needs are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies, and to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and sales performance.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, and identify opportunities to leverage new technologies and innovations to drive business growth.

Requirements:

  • Electronics or similar degree.
  • Knowledge and design experience with Photonics and Imaging.
  • Previous responsibility for implementing sales plans, resolution of technical issues, quotations, steering the sales process and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of customer base, markets, and applications.
  • Demonstrable experience in building strong internal and external relationships.
  • Supporting the Field Sales Engineers in their primary role of developing new business, product specification and successfully closing opportunities.
  • Previous experience in gathering market information to identify new customers.
  • Computer literate; proficient in the use of Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated - enthusiasm and drive to succeed.
  • Good at time management and focussing on objectives.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on an individual basis.
  • Creative – able to think 'outside the box'.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Presents themselves professionally.
  • Able to travel to meet customers and suppliers.

What We Offer:

As a Technical Sales Manager at MacStaff, you will enjoy a competitive salary of £45K-£65K + Package, which includes company car or £600 monthly allowance, 10-20% performance-related bonus, pension, life assurance, income protection, laptop, mobile phone.
