About the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our client school in Barnet on a maternity cover basis (3 days a week).
As an Occupational Therapist in a SEMH Secondary School, you will support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs by developing tailored interventions to improve their ability to engage in school life.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and staff to address sensory, motor, and emotional challenges, helping students build skills for academic success and personal development.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification.
- Strong communication and team-working abilities.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of key partners.
- Able to work sensitively with people and resolve conflict effectively.
- A passion for education and supporting students' learning progress.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
