Job Description: As a Prevention and Support Professional, you will play a vital role in preventing children and young people from entering the youth justice system. Your primary focus will be on early intervention, support, and guidance to address the root causes of potential criminal behavior.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Identification: Conduct assessments to identify young people at risk, using screening tools and working closely with schools, social services, and community organizations.
  • Intervention Planning: Develop individualized intervention plans based on assessment findings, addressing specific needs such as family issues, educational challenges, or mental health concerns.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with community resources and organizations to provide additional support and opportunities for youth, promoting positive activities and involvement in community initiatives.
  • Educational Outreach: Educate at-risk youth about the consequences of criminal behavior and the benefits of staying on a positive path, raising awareness among peers and the community about the importance of early intervention and support.

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need empathy and compassion, ability to build trust and rapport with young people and their families, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of youth-related issues.

Estimated Salary: £25/hour

Work Schedule: Full Time: Mon - Fri 36/hrs a week
