We are looking for a skilled PMO Director to lead our project management office. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for establishing and maintaining project controls processes, standards, and methodologies.

You'll work closely with top-tier project controllers and directors, benefiting from unparalleled development and mentorship opportunities provided by our senior leadership. Your role will involve close interaction with clients, stakeholders, and a diverse team of experts from various Tetra Tech disciplines.

The estimated salary for this position is around £90,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain project controls processes, standards, and methodologies.
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for the project controls team.
  • Lead and mentor the project controls team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement governance frameworks to ensure project compliance and accountability.
  • Monitor and report on project and programme performance, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure alignment of projects with organisational objectives and priorities.
  • Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning for projects and programmes.
  • Manage the project budget and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project and programme stakeholders, managing expectations where required.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between project teams and stakeholders.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet required standards.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to project managers and team members on project controls processes and tools.
  • Promote best practices in project management across the organisation.

About You:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as APM (Association for Project Management), PRINCE2, or PMP are highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and programmes.
  • Experience in developing and implementing project controls processes and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with project management frameworks and best practices.
  • Extensive experience in project and programme management, ideally in a leadership role.
  • Familiarity with project management and strategic project management tools advocated by Tetra Tech.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
