About the Role

This exciting opportunity in NHS England is for a highly motivated individual to provide senior administrative and secretarial services within the North West Workforce Training & Education Directorate.

As part of the Operations & Oversight Team in the Workforce & Education Strategy (WES) Sub-Directorate, the Executive Assistant will undertake a wide range of administrative and secretarial tasks, supporting senior Leaders, including Deputy Regional Directors.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to senior leaders, including diary management, organizing and minuting formal meetings, and booking travel and accommodation.
  • Use finance systems to establish new suppliers, process payments, invoices, and purchase order numbers (POs), accurately inputting and validating data using a methodical approach.
  • Support the Operations & Oversight Team in delivering an effective service, working collaboratively with cross-directorate teams to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Take personal responsibility for a range of delegated tasks and projects, including support to finance and external governance processes and ad hoc project work.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Ability to work in partnership with others and as part of cross-directorate teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Experience of providing high-level administration support, including diary management, organizing and minuting formal meetings, and booking travel and accommodation.
  • Ability to use finance systems to establish new suppliers, process payments, invoices, and purchase order numbers (POs), accurately inputting and validating data using a methodical approach.
  • Ability to respond effectively and sensitively to queries from stakeholders, escalating as appropriate.
  • Ability to work autonomously, using prioritization skills to deal with conflicting demands.
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area.
