About the Role
Oxford University Press is seeking a highly skilled Managing Editor to join our team. As a key member of our editorial team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality content that meets the needs of our customers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development of pedagogically effective content for our products, tailored to customer needs and delivered to time and budget.
- Managing and developing a team of content development editors to ensure performance is effectively managed and individuals are achieving their best potential.
- Working collaboratively across the organization to research, plan, and manage products successfully through the product development process.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
- Substantial experience in developing multi-modal teaching and learning content and editorial experience in educational publishing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of educational teaching and learning requirements.
- Adaptable to a changing work environment and global market.
- First-hand experience of teaching, ideally in an ELT environment is desirable.
Please note that this is a 6-month fixed-term role covering maternity leave, with the possibility of an extension.
