Clinical Paediatric Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis Team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have experience working with children and young people with cystic fibrosis and a strong background in clinical psychology.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will be responsible for providing highly specialist psychological assessments and treatments to children and young people with cystic fibrosis. This will involve working closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver psychological support and interventions to improve treatment outcomes and patient experience.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a small cohort of paediatric patients and their families, providing bespoke individualised support and developing group interventions as needed. The post holder will also be responsible for connecting with families on diagnosis or transfer into the area and providing support to all families.
Person Specification- Significant post qualification clinical experience in Paediatric cystic fibrosis.
- Significant post qualification experience working clinically in health and medical settings.
- Post qualification training in clinical supervision.
- Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology, as accredited by the British Psychological Society.
- Interest, passion and commitment to ensuring high quality services for children and young people with cystic fibrosis.
- Evidence of advanced post qualification training to support specialist therapeutic work in the paediatric cystic fibrosis context.
- Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
- Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role).
