Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Paediatric Psychologist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering psychological support and evidence-based treatments to children, young people, and families affected by cystic fibrosis.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in assessing and treating behavioural, emotional, and psychological challenges linked to cystic fibrosis and its treatment regimen. They will also lead research efforts to evaluate the efficacy, efficiency, and acceptability of our assessments and treatments.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced psychologist to make a meaningful contribution to the care of our patients and advance the field of paediatric psychology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver psychological support and evidence-based treatments to children, young people, and families affected by cystic fibrosis
  • Lead research efforts to evaluate the efficacy, efficiency, and acceptability of our assessments and treatments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or related field
  • Experience in assessing and treating behavioural, emotional, and psychological challenges in children and adolescents
  • Strong research skills and experience in leading research projects
