IT Systems Administrator

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our team at Priory Medical Centre. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Provide local support to staff, resolving issues with IT systems and equipment
- Effective maintenance of all organisation IT infrastructure, including hardware, office systems, email, telephone, internet and clinical systems
- Ensure back-up and disaster recovery procedures are in place and effective
- Perform regular system checks to maximise performance
- Provide training to all staff as required, ensuring the effective use of all systems
- Ensure staff adhere to practice policies regarding IT security and ensuring conformance to Information Governance
- Deliver the IT related elements of the staff induction programme
- Build, generate and carry out searches as required by the organisation team to enable reports to be produced and action plans devised
- Support the team in the effective use of searches, audits and recalls
- Support the team in the use of the clinical systems
- Act as a liaison between the organisation and external agencies, for the timely management of all faults
- Ensure that the organisation website information is correct and that the details are in accordance with the GP website benchmarking and improvement tool
- Configure searches and interpret data for audit purposes
- Send out mail merges for a number of campaigns, i.e., flu
- Ensure all staff have the appropriate smart card access to the clinical system
- Support the Executive Director with all elements of the online patient access software
- Ensure the Executive Director is updated regarding the release of patches and upgrades
- The configuration (activation and de-activation) of all staff email accounts
- Supporting the Executive Director in the writing of all IT related policies and protocols and user guides
- Support the GP Partner & Executive Director with QOF & IIF performance
- Experience of advanced working within the Microsoft Office suite of programmes
- Experience of working as part of an integrated multi-skilled team
- Experience of working with MS Desktop, Windows, Anti-Virus products, Network Infrastructure & Firewalls
- Experience of establishing effective office administrative systems
- Experience of working in a healthcare setting
- Experience of working in a primary care environment
- Experience of QOF & IIF
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Clear, polite telephone manner
- Competent in the use of Office and Outlook
- Effective time management (Planning & Organising)
- Ability to work as a team member and autonomously
- Good interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure in a busy & changing environment
- Flexibility to work outside of core office hours
- Occupational Health Clearance
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- GCSE Mathematics and English (C or above)
- European Computer Driving License (EDCL)
- Level 3 qualifications in Microsoft Products
- Degree in IT or related subject
