Supporting Young Minds in Mainstream Education

Teaching Personnel is seeking Behaviour Support Assistants to work in mainstream secondary schools in Oldham, UK. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one support sessions and small group support for students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children aged 11-16, and possess a desire to develop a supportive relationship with teaching staff. Key responsibilities may include:
- Assisting in the support of students with behavioural needs
- Resolving behavioural and emotional needs of students
- Developing a mutually supportive relationship with teaching staff
- Advising teaching staff on student needs
This role offers competitive pay from £11.84 per hour, which includes statutory holiday pay. A DBS check registered to the update service is required.
The successful candidate will hold or be willing to apply for a DBS check and must meet the necessary qualifications and training requirements for this role. For more information on the job requirements, please refer to the Teaching Personnel website.
