About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Oldham, Greater Manchester. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in managing classrooms in the absence of regular teachers, ensuring a positive learning environment, and helping students stay on task.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage classroom environments, following lesson plans provided by teaching staff.
  • Support students with their learning and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Handle any classroom issues in line with school policies.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on students' progress and any issues that arise.
  • Adapt to various subjects and year groups as required.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and manage young people effectively.
  • An interest in education and a proactive approach to helping students succeed.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is beneficial but not essential.
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude with confidence to manage classrooms in the absence of teaching staff.
  • A DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.

Salary and Location

The salary for this role is £90-£110 per day, dependent on experience and qualifications. You will work with secondary schools across Oldham, Greater Manchester.
