Primary School SEN Play Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Play Specialist to support the emotional and developmental wellbeing of students with special educational needs at our primary school in Rayleigh.
This is a full-time permanent role focused on facilitating therapeutic play sessions that enhance student outcomes. You will work closely with SEN staff and trained play therapists to design and implement engaging interventions tailored to individual needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing therapeutic play activities that promote creativity, self-expression, and social interaction.
- Collaborating with SEN staff to monitor and document student progress during play sessions.
- Providing feedback and insights to inform future interventions and support strategies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in play therapy, child development, or special educational needs support.
- A creative approach to play-based learning with the ability to engage students in meaningful activities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
