Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac and neurology procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients undergoing cardiac and neurology procedures.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and materials for procedures.
  • Support and care for patients during procedures.
  • Contribute to treating patients during clinical emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate and legible records of care.
Teamwork and Leadership
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the Catheter Suite Team and other clinical work areas.
  • Acknowledge and value the roles of other team members.
  • Recognize own limitations within the team.
  • Participate in achieving the aims of the Department/Trust.
Education and Coaching
  • Develop own knowledge by evaluating and reflecting on practice.
  • Maintain a professional profile.
  • Participate in creating a learning environment in the Cardiac Catheter Suite.
  • Act as a role model to junior members of staff.
Research and Governance
  • Contribute to the development of practice within the Catheter Suite.
  • Utilize research to inform practice.
  • Participate in Clinical Governance Activity.

Requirements

  • Current valid UK NMC registration.
  • ILS training or willingness to undertake.
  • Competent in intravenous cannulation or willingness to undertake relevant training.
  • Competent in intravenous medication administration or willingness to undertake relevant training.
  • Competent in basic ECG recognition or willingness to undertake training.
