Job Summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Catheter Lab. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac and neurology procedures.

Main Duties

  • Assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate the care of patients.
  • Support and care for patients during clinical procedures.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor their effects.
  • Prepare and maintain materials and equipment for clinical procedures.
  • Contribute to treating patients during clinical emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate and legible records of care.

Teamwork

  • Communicate effectively with other members of the Catheter Suite Team and other clinical work areas.
  • Acknowledge and value the roles of other team members.
  • Recognize own limitations within the team.
  • Participate in achieving the aims of the Department/Trust.

Leadership and Innovation

  • Demonstrate a flexible attitude to changes in practice within the Cardiac Catheter suite and the Trust.
  • Contribute to the effective and efficient utilization of Catheter Suite resources.
  • Recognize and prevent/report areas of conflict within the Catheter Suite environment.

  • Develop own knowledge by evaluating and reflecting on their practice.
  • Maintain a professional profile.
  • Act as a role model to junior members of staff.

Research and Governance

  • Contribute to the development of practice within Catheter Suite practice.
  • Utilize research to inform practice.
  • Participate in Clinical Governance Activity: Audit Activity Data Collection.
