Job Title: Senior Engineer - FMCG

Location: Haverfordwest

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £48,000 - £52,000

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site Engineering function, ensuring that the team works safely, effectively, and efficiently to provide engineering support. This role requires expertise in various engineering disciplines and a strong problem-solving aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day engineering team, including time sheets, hours worked, holidays, training, absence, and disciplinary reporting.
  • Ensure that the engineering workshop and stores are maintained accurately and cleaned regularly.
  • Review existing processes throughout the engineering department and identify solutions to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and waste, and increase profitability.
  • Maintain an accurate training record and highlight areas where training is required.

Requirements:

  • HNC in either mechanical or electrical discipline or a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • Experience of working in an FMCG environment.
  • Proven experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on system design.
  • Computer literate with strong report writing skills, including previous experience of CMMS, SCADA, HMI's, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong knowledge of logic controllers and their applications in engineering systems.
  • Strong experience as a multiskilled engineer with previous leadership experience.
