Assistant Engineer Opportunity at Bellway Homes

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Engineer to join our Northern Home Counties Division's Technical team. As an Assistant Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our Engineer/Senior Engineering team in the management of various developments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with senior team members to gain relevant experience in day-to-day duties
  • Provide engineering and technical support to the technical department
  • Assist in the control and coordination of all engineering information between external consultants and internal departments
  • Assist with acquiring existing services plans
  • Assist in the procurement of proposed services to serve new development sites
  • Assist in the production of site constraints plans
  • Assist in issuing drawings to both internal and external parties
Requirements:
  • Experience of working with AutoCAD is desirable
  • Qualification in a Construction/Engineering subject with relevant experience, or be working towards achieving a relevant accreditation
  • CSCS card or equivalent
  • Current full UK driving licence
  • Strong communication, listening, presentation skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to express technical information in a clear and concise manner
  • Methodical, conscientious, organised and works to deliver high standards
  • Ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective manner
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to problem solve and delegate effectively
  • Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems
