Job Title: Quality Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Manager to join our team at Retrack Personnel Holdings Limited in Milton Keynes. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the company's quality, health and safety, and environmental systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and manage the company's quality, health and safety, and environmental systems.
  • Review existing procedures to ensure they meet ISO standards and implement authorized changes and improvements as necessary.
  • Continually monitor and audit staff observation of rules, compliance with procedures, and quality-related output.
  • Maintain a schedule of internal audits and undertake these in line with the respective standards.
  • Carry out quality investigations when required.
  • Undertake supplier audits and collaborate with suppliers to ensure the flow-down of company and customer quality requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze quality control activity, collate performance data, and prepare reports.
  • Manage the inspection, maintenance, and repair of machinery, tools, ladders, and lifting equipment, ensuring PUWR compliance.
  • Ensure COSH compliance, that all chemicals are properly labelled and accurately recorded.
  • Undertake fire drills and tests and the management and maintenance of all fire-related equipment.
  • Carry out health and safety and quality inductions for new starters when required and authorized refresher training for colleagues as necessary.
  • Monitor company waste and environmental impact and implement strategies to minimize.
  • Maintain and enhance own knowledge and track updates and changes to ensure Company compliance with all aspects of applicable quality, health and safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
Supporting Commercial and Project Delivery Teams:
  • Write high-quality documents in response to requests for information arising from tenders and contracts to demonstrate compliance.
  • Produce contract/tender-specific quality, health and safety, and environmental management plans as necessary.
Potentially Supporting Commercial and Engineering Teams:

Advise on product safety management, including identification of legislative and regulatory requirements, safety reviews, maintenance of hazard logs, and safety cases.

Promote a continual improvement mindset and help improve standards and working practices throughout the business.

As part of this continual improvement strategy, you will need to:

  • Promote a culture of quality and continual improvement.
  • Identify weaknesses in existing systems and processes and propose improved solutions.
  • Prioritize areas for improvement which will have the greatest impact on the business.
  • Take initiative, be creative, and develop new ideas to help move the business forward.
  • Prepare and maintain risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
  • Assist with the expansion of Lean Manufacturing throughout the factory, particularly 5S.
  • Represent the business and attend meetings with customers as required.
  • Advising the Board and providing reports as required.
Requirements:
  • Highly experienced quality professional with a self-starter attitude and ability to take complete ownership of all aspects of QHSE across our business.
  • NEBOSH qualified or with significant experience in HS&E or related area.
  • Excellent communicator, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to write reports to the highest standard and self-manage and prioritize work.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ideal candidate should also be practical and hands-on.
