Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant


About the Role:


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN teaching assistant to join our dedicated team at Randstad.


Responsibilities:



  • Assist students with complex needs and learning difficulties during class, ensuring their success and progress.
  • Liaise with the class teacher to maintain a smooth-running and supportive learning environment.
  • Enable learners to access the curriculum and participate in educational activities.
  • Support the pastoral needs of students, promoting their emotional well-being and safety.
  • Actively contribute to setting the learning environment, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Engage learners in learning activities using your interests and skills, promoting their motivation and enthusiasm.

Requirements:



  • Ability to work with learners with various learning difficulties and complex needs.
  • Confidence to support the lead teacher in groups and different educational subjects.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • NVQ level 2 in Teaching and Learning is desirable but not essential.
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Two professional references.
  • Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service or prepared to apply for a new one.
