The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) professional to join our team as a Principal or Associate Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering EIA projects, working closely with clients and project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EIA, with experience in managing statutory and non-statutory EIAs, including client and team liaison, programme management, document review, and delegation of tasks to junior members of the team. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to develop opportunities with other teams and contribute to the Planning and EIA Service Area coordination.

- Develop opportunities with other teams and contribute to the Planning and EIA Service Area coordination.
- Assist in the professional development of junior members of the team.
- Contribute to the development of business with existing clients and identify potential new clients.
- Experience as lead EIA Co-ordinator on large development proposals.
- Experience in the production of Environmental Statements, including the writing of non-technical aspects and review of technical aspects.
- A sound understanding of the English planning system, particularly the EIA Regulations.
- DCO experience is desirable, but not essential.
- Technically proficient with excellent report writing skills.
- Demonstrable track record in business development and building client relationships.
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to communicate appropriately and effectively.
- Experience of leading a team, including development of junior colleagues.
- Undergraduate degree or higher in a relevant subject.
- Professional membership of IEMA (Practitioner or higher).
- A full UK driving licence.
