About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join our team at Aspens Services Ltd, a leading contract catering company specialising in school food. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team to meet targets by processing cashless data effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monthly reconciliation of cashless balance sheet control accounts.
  • Acquiring, collating, tracking, and managing receipt of monthly till liability reports.
  • Maintenance of multiple internal systems to ensure ongoing data accuracy and consistency.
  • Ensuring transactional accounts are up-to-date and accurate.
  • External invoice creation, including collation of supporting evidence.
  • Preparation of backing data for client invoices received and in advance of onward approval.
  • Preparing journals.
  • Maintaining clear and timely communication to our internal and external customers.
  • Dealing with email queries and phone calls in a timely manner.
  • Providing support to the financial accounting team.
  • Any other ad-hoc work as deemed appropriate by your line manager.
