About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Team Leader to join our team at Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Hotel Services department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our catering facilities, ensuring that our patients, staff, and visitors receive high-quality food and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of catering staff to deliver a high-quality, flexible, and efficient customer-focused service.
  • Deputise for other departmental colleagues to maintain Hotel Service function in their absence.
  • Responsible for stock control and budgets, ensuring that resources are utilized effectively.
  • Train, supervise, and develop the catering staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Compile duty rotas, holiday entitlement, and allocate work within the team to maintain service standards and budget.
  • Perform return-to-work interviews with staff on return from sickness and ensure accurate recording of working hours, sickness, and holiday.
Requirements
  • Experience in food preparation or a similar environment.
  • General education including literacy and numeracy.
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • Understanding of the importance of hygiene, health and safety, and COSHH.
