Heavy Maintenance Technician

At London and North Western Railway Company Limited, we are seeking a skilled Heavy Maintenance Technician to join our team in Crewe. As a key member of our Heavy Maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our rail vehicles.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out maintenance and overhaul of rail vehicles to laid down standards and procedures
- Working closely with the Team Leader and Heavy Maintenance Manager to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Ensuring safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI and local instruction
- Operating rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits, and in accordance with all relevant operating procedures
Requirements for the role include:
- Experience as a mechanical fitter or electrical engineer, with a strong understanding of rail vehicle maintenance
- Proven ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
