At London and North Western Railway Company Limited, we are seeking a skilled Commercial Administrator to support our Heavy Maintenance team. The successful candidate will provide essential administration support to the Head of Supply Chain & Heavy Maintenance Commercial in their commercial activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Representing Heavy Maintenance Commercial on the HM Weekly Update Conference Call
  • Expediting customer purchase orders
  • Collating additional work arising for customer invoicing Heavy Maintenance (HM) projects
  • Working closely with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely billing, weekly credit control reviews, and escalation of any issues requiring action and monitoring call-off PO values
  • Administering and attending customer contract reviews (including meeting minutes and invites)
  • Maintaining HM Commercial team tracking documents (e.g., HM invoicing tracker, enquiries and proposals, CV Trackers, customer feedback)
  • Preparing supply/commercial proposals and associated submissions under the direction of the Head of Supply Chain & HM Commercial
  • Contract administration, including maintaining contract variation registers and aspects for BilMog (internal controls) compliance

Requirements for the role include:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Financial and commercial acumen
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office and 365, and SAP Power BI)

A knowledge of the railway industry would be advantageous but is not essential for this role.
