Job Description

Procurement

  • Develop and execute strategic procurement plans to drive commercial and added value benefits through negotiation of best value Group Frameworks / Agreements aligned with the Group Supply Chain Strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative/statutory requirements for products to be procured via Group Frameworks.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key supply chain partners to drive consistent approaches across the business and improve quality and service levels.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of Group Frameworks to ensure they are adhered to and not usurped.
  • Work with business unit teams to maximize and recover identified direct and third-party rebate opportunities.
  • Liaise with Preferred Suppliers & Manufacturers to ensure that Value Enhancement, Innovation and Saving opportunities are maximised.
  • Represent the Procurement & Supply Chain function on the PMO to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Manage the applications for rebate payments and work with the finance teams to ensure monies are paid to invoiced terms.

Supply Chain

  • Develop and maintain a Sub-Contractor Database and align it with third-party data sources.
  • Collate and analyse data from various sources to identify trends for risk management and improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of performance measurement culture and processes to ensure the process and understanding of why it is required is embedded within the business.
  • Link performance measurement to supply chain databases and PMO dashboard to provide early warnings and opportunities to the wider business.
  • Lead on strategic supply chain engagement via various mediums to build recognition and reward incentives.
  • Embed a formalised performance improvement process aligned to performance measurement and relationship maturity matrix.
  • Measure and improve supply chain maturity in terms of ESG.
  • Drive innovation within the supply chain by aligning group business with supply chain innovations and trialling new products and solutions.

General

  • Identify and mitigate Supply & Demand pressures through proactive engagement with the supply chain.
  • Provide Procurement & Supply Chain Advice Notes to the Group.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to add value and drive efficiency.
  • Drive process automation and use of data within the team and the wider business.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure a best value procurement culture is embedded and adopted within all parts of the business.
  • Support Procurement & Supply Chain integration of new acquisitions as directed.
  • Develop and deliver improved communications internally and externally.
  • Support the business with strategic procurement expertise as required.
  • Ensure that United Living SHEQ standards, operating processes, company policies and all legislative requirements are understood, implemented and adhered to at all times.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Procurement & Supply Chain roles in the Construction sector, with additional sector experience also a preference.
  • Construction and/or Business-related Qualifications – including NVQ, BSc, BA, MSc.
  • MCIPS.

Additional Information

  • Proficient IT skills particularly in Excel, PowerBi, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle and analyse large volumes of data quickly and accurately – utilising information to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Utilises data to support decisions and business improvement and able to represent data accurately to back up business cases & recommendations – both orally and visually.

  • National travel required to Group Offices, Projects and Supply Chain.
