  • Provide daily supervision and guidance to volunteers.

  • Conduct daily cash handling and financial accountability.
  • Oversee the upkeep and supply of beverage equipment.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of inventory management practices.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Supervise and support shop volunteers under the direction of the Volunteer Officer.
  • Assist in organizing training sessions for volunteers.
  • Prepare and authorize financial documents for weekly processing.
  • Conduct regular inventory assessments.
  • Manage stock procurement and inventory levels.
  • Ensure the safe receipt of food deliveries and monitor appliance temperatures.
  • Focus on maximizing revenue while minimizing costs and losses.
  • Handle large shipments of supplies, including sorting and organizing storage.
  • Address volunteer concerns promptly and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Communicate updates and changes to volunteers across the organization.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints effectively, escalating when needed.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Essential Skills

  • Familiarity with business operations and inventory management.
  • Understanding of the voluntary sector and a commitment to supporting volunteers.
  • Proficient in IT systems for data management and reporting.

Required Education

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent knowledge and skills.
