Job Title: Graduate Trading Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Trading Assistant to join our Trading Operations Team. As a Graduate Trading Assistant, you will be responsible for monitoring and operating trading platforms, spotting inconsistencies and errors, and developing insights into customer, counterparty, and market behavior.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and operate trading platforms which run 24/7
  • Spot inconsistencies, errors, and unusual behavior
  • Develop insights into customer, counterparty, and market behavior
  • Liaise with traders, counterparties, and trading venues on an ad hoc-basis
  • Help troubleshoot issues that arise in the trade cycle
  • Collaborate with developers and traders to improve the functionality of our platform
Requirements:
  • Education to BSc level, ideally in a mathematical or scientific subject 2.1 or above from a red brick university
  • Good proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to come to grips with new applications quickly
  • Attention to detail
  • A high degree of numeracy, including probabilities
  • Aptitude for dealing with different time zones and currencies
  • Comfortable making informed trading decisions
  • Good organisational skills
  • Knowledge in SQL is welcome, but can also be acquired on the job
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a mature, responsible attitude
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
