Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Numerate Graduate to join our Trading Operations Team in Central London. As a Graduate Trading Assistant, you will play a key role in monitoring and operating our trading platforms, which run 24/7.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate trading platforms, identifying inconsistencies, errors, and unusual behavior.
  • Develop insights into customer, counterparty, and market behavior.
  • Liaise with traders, counterparties, and trading venues on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Help troubleshoot issues that arise in the trade cycle.
  • Collaborate with developers and traders to improve the functionality of our platform.

Requirements

  • Education to BSc level, ideally in a mathematical or scientific subject (2.1 or above from a red brick university).
  • Good proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to come to grips with new applications quickly.
  • Attention to detail, with a high degree of numeracy, including probabilities.
  • Aptitude for dealing with different time zones and currencies.
  • Comfortable making informed trading decisions.
  • Good organisational skills, with a structured approach to work.
  • Knowledge in SQL is welcome, but can also be acquired on the job.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a mature, responsible attitude.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekend rotation work.
