About Our Service

Our respite residential service at Chy Keres in Tregadillett provides vital support and care to individuals with learning disabilities, enabling them to live within their community and reach their full potential.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Waking Night Support Worker. This role involves supporting individuals with learning disabilities during the night, providing personal care, administering medication, and completing administration tasks.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is £11.74 per hour, plus a 10% waking nights enhancement, taking the hourly rate to £12.91. You will also receive a range of benefits, including annual leave, wage incentives, apprenticeships, training, and retention bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing support and care to individuals with learning disabilities during the night, including assisting with medication administration, monitoring medical needs, and providing reassurance and support
  • Completing administration tasks, such as logs and updating plans
  • Engaging in general household tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing

Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
  • A UK driving license is desirable but not essential, as public transport is very restricted due to the service being located in a rural area
