Job Title: Autism Practitioner

Join Scottish Autism as an Autism Practitioner and make a positive impact on the lives of autistic individuals. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Thistle service team in Maryhill, Glasgow.

About the Role:

As an Autism Practitioner, you will work closely with our supported individuals to develop personalized support plans, build positive relationships, and provide support with daily living tasks. You will also have the opportunity to engage in activities and outings with our supported individuals, using the Thistle centre as a base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans for supported individuals
  • Build positive relationships with supported individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals
  • Support with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Engage in activities and outings with supported individuals
  • Record relevant information on our digital care planning system
  • Support with daily or as required medication
  • Risk assess activities and outings to provide safe and fun experiences
Requirements:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting autistic individuals and has a willingness to learn and develop in the role. You will have good observation skills and be resilient in nature. A full UK driving licence and ability to drive a manual vehicle is essential for this role.
