GSL Education - Yorkshire is a leading provider of education services in Yorkshire, seeking a highly skilled Academic Support Professional to join our team in Sheffield.

Job Overview

This role involves working closely with students who face behavioural challenges, providing guidance and tailored support. As an Academic Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting students' personal and emotional development while promoting positive behaviour and well-being.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Student Support: Assist students in overcoming behavioural challenges, helping them stay engaged with the curriculum and develop coping strategies.
  • Team Teach Training: We provide Team Teach training free of charge to all Behaviour Mentors, including those without prior experience.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role working with students facing behavioural challenges.
  • A strong sense of empathy, patience, and dedication to helping students overcome emotional and social barriers.
  • Prior experience in behaviour management is advantageous but not essential.

Salary and Benefits
