Job Title: Engineering Night Shift Leader

CBRE GWS is a leading provider of Integrated Facilities Management. We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Shift Lead to join our Global account team in Chester on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the shift team in providing exceptional service to clients.
  2. Collaborate with the Building Management System to ensure seamless operations.
  3. Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  4. Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  5. Support colleagues in maintaining motivation and commitment to the client, contract, and company.
Dimensions:
  1. Employed within a prestigious account, providing opportunities for growth and development.
Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills:
  1. Time-served with a minimum academic qualification in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
Duties:
  1. Multi-skilled engineer with expertise in HVAC and Building services (water, gas, heating, ventilation, and waste).
  2. Flexible attitude with a "can do" approach, prepared to work outside their skill base to provide customer service.
  3. Be prepared to undertake training as required by the post and the contract manager.
  4. Administration skills to maintain computer-based and hardcopy systems for statutory inspection and test.
  5. React and work on their own initiative on an on-call system.
  6. Operate all systems within the building competently and efficiently, adhering to CWES guidelines and bulletins.
  7. Ensure that service providers' work sheets are signed off, quality of works are inspected, and any recommendations are escalated.
Skills:
  1. Planning including prioritization of tasks from PPMs and help desk requests.
  2. Reacting to breakdowns and changes in priorities.
  3. Progress control and quality control.
Knowledge:
  1. Proven experience as a shift engineer in building services within a prestigious environment.
  2. City and Guild qualification and any relevant qualification in all aspects of building services mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
  3. Team working experience and excels at motivating small teams under substantial pressure.
