Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Private Works Manager to join our Bid Team across the business, supporting and leading development initiatives. Located in Bow, East London, this role requires occasional travel across the JB Riney programme of works.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing projects and teams, with a strong understanding of the civil engineering sector. As part of our dynamic team, you will contribute to the growth and innovation of our business, driving us forward to remain at the leading edge of our industry.
Key Responsibilities
- To lead and manage the development of bids and tenders for new projects, ensuring they meet the required standards and deadlines.
- To work closely with the Bid Team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to secure them.
- To coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and other relevant teams, to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in a relevant field, such as civil engineering or construction management.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the civil engineering sector.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues.
- A deep understanding of the civil engineering industry, including current trends, challenges, and best practices.
Benefits
