About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and determined candidate to join our special educational needs and disabilities (SEN/D) team at Ark St Alban's Academy.

The successful candidate will work directly with pupils both in and outside of the classroom, taking responsibility for supporting pupils in their learning of the curriculum, leading targeted interventions and coordinating between teachers, parents and the wider pastoral team.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for raising the achievement of vulnerable pupils and have the ability to learn specialist skills and quickly become an expert in specific aspects of SEN/D provision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils in their learning of the curriculum
  • Lead targeted interventions and coordinate between teachers, parents and the wider pastoral team
  • Develop specialist skills and become an expert in specific aspects of SEN/D provision
  • Work directly with pupils, teachers and external agencies to support pupils with SEN/D
