We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our Biochemistry Team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technical excellence and attention to detail in a busy department.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake day-to-day sample processing and authorisation of clinical results to maintain agreed KPIs.
- Supervise support staff and provide guidance and training as needed.
- Contribute to service development, including quality management activities and projects.
- Work autonomously for long periods of time, with experience of working at varying start and finish times.
- IBMS accredited BSc in biomedical sciences or equivalent.
- HCPC Registered as a Biomedical Scientist.
- Demonstrable experience working in an NHS Blood Sciences Laboratory.
- Demonstrable experience post HCPC registration working in a clinical laboratory.
