About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our Biochemistry Team at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering technical excellence in a busy laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be trained to join our 24/7 shift system, carrying out night, late, early, weekend, and bank holiday shifts. They will be responsible for undertaking day-to-day sample processing, authorizing clinical results, and supervising support staff.
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates must hold an IBMS accredited BSc in biomedical sciences or equivalent and be registered with the HCPC as a Biomedical Scientist. They should also have demonstrable experience working in an NHS Blood Sciences Laboratory and post-HCPC registration experience in a clinical laboratory.
