**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct thorough plan checking to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and associated statutory legislation.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to clients, including architects, builders, and developers, on building control matters.
  • Collaborate with Fire Authorities as necessary to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Effectively self-manage your workload to provide a responsive, helpful, and professional service.
  • Record inspection details on the database and communicate comments to customers.
  • Maintain a portfolio of projects and associated client base.
  • Attend design team meetings as reasonably required.
  • Ensure records and filing are maintained to meet the company's Quality Procedures, service levels, and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain a positive team environment to promote the overall interests of the company within all areas of the organization.

**Requirements**

  • Full membership of professional organizations, such as MRICS or MCABE, or near chartership in the appropriate discipline of Building Control.
  • 5 years of relevant BC experience, including plan checking and site inspections, and relevant warranty, quality, or defect resolution experience.
  • Appropriate knowledge and understanding of the Building Regulations, associated legislation, and construction standards.
