Special Education Needs Support Professional

**About the Role**
We are working alongside a fantastic special educational needs school in Mansfield to find an experienced, enthusiastic and naturally caring teaching assistant to support students with diverse needs.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to students with special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, MLD, SLD, and SEMH.
The ideal candidate will have patience, understanding, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt teaching support according to students' needs.
The salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
- Support students with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure on the update service is an advantage, but we can apply for one for you if needed
- Overseas police clearances (if applicable)
- Professional reference checks
- CV must cover the last 5 years of employment history where possible
- Legal right to work in the UK
