Job Summary:

Spire Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Breast Cancer Nurse Specialist to join their team at Spire Portsmouth Hospital. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical expertise in the care of patients with breast cancer, ensuring the highest possible standard of nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical expertise in the care of patients with breast cancer, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support patients and their families/carers, and all clinical staff within Spire Portsmouth Hospital.
  • Support the implementation of new clinical services and contribute to the development of nursing policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  • Participate in education and training programs to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • NMC registered with no restrictions or conditions.
  • Experience in both surgical and oncology care, with a focus on breast cancer.
  • In possession of or willing to undertake level 2 counselling skills and a recognized qualification in chemotherapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
