About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team at Thames Water. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our water supply and protecting the environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze samples using colorimetric, gravimetric, and automated analysis techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality results and ensure compliance with quality management systems.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in specific areas of analysis and contribute to the development of new methods and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of data and maintenance of laboratory records.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of results.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a laboratory or related field, or a relevant science degree or A-Level in a science-related subject.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
