About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs, including Autism and associated conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people and be part of a supportive and dynamic team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students in their learning, development, and progress across all areas of the curriculum. They will assist students with personal and educational goals, particularly those with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs.

As a member of our experienced teaching team, you will promote an environment that values equality, diversity, and respect for all. You will also participate in physical intervention and personal care routines as required, and collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure the best outcomes for students, focusing on their transition into adult life.

We are looking for candidates who are eager to develop their skills and work towards formal qualifications (funded by us). They should be passionate about working with children and young people with additional needs, able to see potential rather than limitations, and have a proactive, creative approach to problem-solving. Effective communication skills, both in team settings and when working independently, are essential.

This is a permanent, 40 hours per week, term-time only position with a competitive salary range of £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 per annum (based on hourly rate £11.72 - £12.78).
