About the Job

We are looking for a highly skilled Compliance and Quality Manager to join our team at CLAIRE'S. As a key member of our Global Quality Team, you will play a vital part in ensuring the products we sell meet the highest standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with buyers and suppliers to ensure compliance with legal requirements and customer expectations. You will stay up-to-date with changes in EU and NA regulations, communicate updates to stakeholders, and support global quality functions.

This is a hybrid role that allows you to work three days a week from our Erdington HQ. You will be responsible for ensuring products are tested and documented to meet safety and legal standards, providing legal advice to buyers and internal teams as needed, and collaborating with suppliers to improve quality standards and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and produce legal updates for the team.
  • Assist in developing product standards and testing protocols.
  • Identify and liaise with appropriate laboratories for product testing.
  • Provide training on legal requirements to buyers, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Support induction training for new team members and managers.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a quality-focused role within a test house, retail environment, or legal consultancy.
  • Familiarity with EU and NA legal systems, particularly in prosecuting or defending cases.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including macros and pivot tables.
  • Bonus: Fluency in a European language (French, Spanish, or German preferred).
  • Estimated salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year.
