Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team at GSL Education. The successful candidate will work within the classroom setting to provide invaluable support to students with diverse learning needs.

About the Role:

The Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans and tailored learning strategies. They will provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, assist in accessing the curriculum, and promote independence and self-confidence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans and tailored learning strategies.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students' learning and development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions from teaching staff.
