We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Officer to join our team at Platform Housing Group. As a Community Engagement Officer, you will play a key role in building strong and safe communities by working closely with customers to identify local issues and develop solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain relationships with local communities, stakeholders, and partners to promote a healthy and happy environment for all customers.
- Develop and implement community-based programs to support the needs of local communities, in line with our strategic objectives.
- Organize and deliver a wide range of community engagement activities, including meetings, outreach work, and events.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to achieve our customer and community engagement strategy.
- Travel regularly to communities within the designated patch, using a vehicle and adhering to HMRC mileage rates.
- Previous experience working in a community-based role or a role that supported projects and programs to help people and communities grow.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
- Understanding of the unique challenges faced within social housing and our organization's values and beliefs.
- Proven ability to identify new ways to engage successfully with customers and communities.
- Experience of empowering communities to find solutions would be advantageous.
- A DBS check will be carried out before commencing employment.
- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.
