Job Summary
The London Borough of Newham is seeking a skilled Communications and Development Officer to lead on strategic partnerships, marketing, and communications for the Heritage Centre. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and engage with Regeneration colleagues to drive project development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic partnerships to promote the Heritage Centre
- Lead on marketing and communications efforts to engage with diverse stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to drive project development and delivery
- Work with Regeneration colleagues to ensure effective project coordination
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including residents, Councillors, community groups, and cultural institutions
Requirements
- Proven experience in communications, marketing, and project development
- Strong strategic thinking and partnership-building skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Knowledge of the cultural and community landscape in Newham
