Business Development Director for IRT Expansion

We're on a mission to change the future of clinical research at Calyx. Our Contract Research Organisation (CRO) client base and market presence for our IRT product need a talented and experienced Business Development Director to drive expansion.

As Business Development Director for our IRT division, you will play a crucial role in expanding our CRO sales channel. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the CRO business development strategy for the IRT division, aligning with overall company objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO sectors.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including clinical operations leaders, procurement professionals, and executive management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor solutions to meet client needs and objectives.
  • Drive the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and close.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive developments, and regulatory changes to inform business strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven business development experience within the life sciences sector, preferably pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical research industry.
  • Demonstrable track record of success in selling technology services to CROs with a strong understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

This is a UK-based decentralised role. This position will require travel.
