About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fostering Practitioner to join our Fostering Marketing, Recruitment and Assessment Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality fostering resources, recruiting, assessing, supervising, training and supporting foster carers in their placements.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to achieving improved outcomes and experiences for children and young people placed with our foster carers.

The salary for this role is £41,511 - £44,711 per annum, plus a market supplement of £5,500 and an essential car user allowance of £963 (subject to criteria).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Deputy Team Manager and Team Manager in providing high quality fostering resources
  • Recruit, assess, supervise, train and support foster carers
  • Promote LBC values, qualities and standards to ensure a professional service
About You

We are looking for someone with substantial post-qualifying experience and the ability to demonstrate a high level of competence in the field of fostering in line with national quality standards and best practice.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to make sound professional judgments based on levels of risk.
