About the Job
Foster carers play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people in care. As a Senior Practitioner within our Fostering Marketing, Recruitment and Assessment Team at Luton Borough Council, you will be responsible for promoting high-quality fostering resources, recruiting, assessing, supervising, training, and supporting foster carers in their placements.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team, who can demonstrate a high level of competence in fostering and provide effective social work services within the Fostering Service. You will carry a caseload requiring professional skill and perform tasks related to the recruitment, assessment, support, and training of foster carers in accordance with legislation, guidance, and good practice.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Deputy Team Manager and Team Manager in delivering high-quality fostering services
• Promote LBC values, qualities, and standards to ensure a professional service with improved outcomes for children and young people
• Carry a caseload of foster carer assessments, support plans, and reviews
• Develop and maintain relationships with foster carers, agencies, and other stakeholders

Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for this position is £41,511 - £44,711, plus a market supplement of £5,500 and an essential car user allowance of £963 (subject to criteria).
